China’s Letv Is Building Its Own Virtual Reality Headset

Letv planning to sell its own VR headset which is dubbed as LeVR Cool 1. The LeVR Cool 1 just passed the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and it regulates interstate & international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite & cable.

Letv’s headset seems to be similar to Google’s Cardboard VR headsets and users have to use their own phones as displays, although the headset itself functions as enhanced lenses. The difference is that the LeVR headset comes with straps, which should make it easier to wear it for a longer period of time.

According to a press note, the company is all set to sell it in a combination with a simple Bluetooth input device. If you do not know, Letv is making its own hardware in China for some time and the company will began by producing its own TV sets, which offered access to Letv’s streaming services. The good thing is that, this year Letv added Android-based phones to its hardware line-up.
