Samsung’s ChatON messaging app for Android has received an update that adds both SMS and MMS support. The update is for Samsung devices on Android 4.0 and above. Now the messaging app allows users to set it as their SMS/MMS inbox. The update is available on the Play Store and on Samsung Apps.
What’s New:
- SMS/MMS function has been integrated with ChatON. The message and chat list are combined, and you can see your contacts on buddy list.
- The badge indicating the number of unread messages is added on icon.
- For tablet users, new UI design; easier and simpler way.
- You can change the background of ‘My page’ and upload multimedia contents such as images, videos, and location information on ‘PostON’.
In-app SMS/MMS support for ChatON is only live in Germany and Brazil at the moment. You can download the application from Google Play Store or from Samsung Apps.
