In earlier post we shared that Android 4.4.2 update rolled out for Nexus Devices and today new Nexus 7 2013 tablet is receiving Android 4.4.2 OTA update. This OTA update brings some performance improvements, stability and bug fixes to the new Nexus 7 tablet. The update comes to the device just after the Nexus 5 smartphone received the same OTA update a few days earlier that improves the camera performance of the phone. With new Nexus 7 tablet we are hoping some improvements in battery performance HD video playback. The OTA update is of 52.8 MB in size and build number KOT49E and it is available for download on your tablet.
Android 4.4.2 appears to be a hot fix and features a very small change log, first reported by Sprint. Subsequently, all the other Nexus devices that were updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat are being reported to be receiving notifications for an Over The Air update. As earlier with the Android updates, you may have to wait for some time to receive any notification regarding the OTA update. As of now, Android 4.4.2 OTA update is seeding globally, it may take some time to reach to your device.
