Google’s Android Device Manager Service Now Available

If you remember, last week Google announced Android Device Manager to track lost Android smartphone. Now today, the service is live and the web address is https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager?u=0.

With the new service, you can easily track your phone or tablet on a map, can also make phones ring if you misplace it or even wipe all your personal data if it gets stolen or lost. The best thing I like about this service is that, it does not need any dedicated app to be installed on the device. All you have to do is to, click on the Settings > Security > Device Administrators and look for a new “Android Device Manager” field. The ability to track the location of the phone and making it ring is enabled by default.
