Motorola has announced that, they had started rolling out the Android 4.4.4 update for the Moto E, Moto G and Moto X users in India. Back in June, Android 4.4.3 update rolled out in U.S. but the update is still not available for Indian users. Skipping the Android 4.4.3 update, the Indian users get Android 4.4.4 update and this update bring all the features present in the Android 4.4.3 update. Android 4.4.4 update includes improved dialer with a new interface, new colors to enhance consistency and usability and several stability, framework and security fixes in addition to accuracy improvements to the power profile. The update also bring fixes vulnerability in OpenSSL and offers extra layer of security for browsing web content on your phone.
The Android 4.4.4 update rolled out in phased manner so if you haven’t received it, don’t panic. Users received notification to update their OS alternatively, the update can also be accessed through the settings menu, Settings>>About Phone>>System Updates. Right now, there is no official change-log available so it’s hard to know what features will be included in the update.
Upgrading to Android 4.4.4 KitKat:
1. Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.
2. Select “About phone”
3. Select “System updates”
4. Select “Download”. After the software is downloaded, select “Install”
5. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically
