Lenovo has launched the company’s latest tablet – Lenovo S500 tablet in India at an initial price tag of Rs. 10,999. It is exclusively available through Amazon and it comes in Silver Grey colour. According to company claims, it is the world’s lightest and slimmest 7-inch tablet. Originally, it was unveiled at IFA 2013.
Commenting on the launch, Rohit Midha, director, tablet business unit, Lenovo India said,

On the specifications front, it features 7-inch wide-viewing angle display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and it is powered by 1.2GHz Quad-Core MediaTek 8389 processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat and has 16GB of in-built memory.
On the imaging front, it has 5-megapixel rear-camera and 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera.
It has 3G SIM support for data connectivity on the go and has connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG.
It packs 3450mAh battery which lasts up to 8 hours on Wi-Fi browsing.
